When Annie B. asked if I would contribute some of my own recipe ideas to the food section of her beautiful blog, My Healthy Pace and in English, how could I resist?
I am bilingual and fascinated by both the English and French languages. That is why, for twelve years, of our thirty living here, I was a conversational ESL consultant for Francophones dans mon coin, Quebec’s beautiful Monteregie tucked between Mont St. Hilaire and the Richelieu River. So if you are a French – speaker and have comments and questions about my recipes, go ahead!
Now, as a professional artist who loves a challenge to create on my own but also collaboratively with others , I knew Annie’s idea of working together on the blog was a great one! And , like her, I also live with a medical condition that requires careful planning and attention so I can keep going at My Healthy Pace.
Palette and palate are art and culinary vocabulary words I used to teach my students. They sound the same but have different meanings. Let’s try them out in context as they state my goals for what I will contribute here:
“ I love to make and serve up a richly, textured and colourful palette with others through both my artwork and culinary creativity.”
“Through simple , common sense recipes and menus that will suit your palate, I want to encourage YOU to live at YOUR healthy pace!”
Bon appétit!
